Noise barriers (protected by patent)
In cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institut für Bauphysik (IBP) CENO TEC has developed inflatable membrane elements for temporary noise protection.
Noise nuisance caused by construction works often represent a considerable problem. So far, no effective and at the same time efficient possibilities of temporary noise protection caused by construction sites or events have been available.
The solution consists in bivalve, inflatable elements having the typical dimensions of noise barriers which achieve an effect that can almost be compared to that of concrete walls.
The noise protection effect of the mobile textile walls was proven by specially developed arithmetic techniques and practically relevant tests.
The CENO noise protection elements did not only convince with regard to acoustic aspects but also through their flexibility and mobility.
Air-borne partition walls:
- Sound insulation: approx. 17 – 20 dBA in the mean frequency range
- Size: 4.2 m x 3.4 m x 0.15 m (Width x Height x Thickness)
- Weight: as lightweight as approx. 40 kg
- folding and easily transportable
The mobile noise protection elements can also be used as advertising or campaign space.
